New Motivation

Though I've been posting here about dieting tips, etc. I really haven't been taking my own advice. After my recent short-but-sweet family vacation, I'm newly motivated.
By standard ideal weights, I'm about 100 pounds overweight. Even so, I've been generally healthy. I recently found out that I'm not quite as healthy as I'd thought.
On our vacation, we made a stop at the Grand Canyon. There are lots of places to walk and see better views. I couldn't do it. After riding in the car for several days, my circulation was so bad in my legs that I couldn't walk. After only a few minutes of walking, my legs felt like there were ants stinging them from my knees to my toes. The pain was excruciating!
On the way home, it only got worse. I couldn't even walk through a grocery store without coming to tears. I decided it was time to get back in shape and take dieting seriously.
I've already made an appointment with a doctor, and since returning home have seriously stuck to my diet. I've given up sodas (again) and started eating lots of fruits and vegetables, and little meat. I'm determined not to let my health ruin any more family fun.
